HEALTH

ðŸ‘‰As the saying goes, health is the root of all happiness. Health is the most valuable asset of a human being. A person's happiness depends on their health. Money, success, fame, honor, influence and prestige are all meaningless to a man of broken health.

A recent study reveals that individuals born in the 1990s are not experiencing improvement in their mental health conditions as they grow older.

A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Sydney has revealed that individuals born in the 1990s are experiencing the poorest mental health compared to any previous generation. What's more concerning is that this decline in mental well-being is not improving as these individuals age. The study, published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, indicates that mental health challenges are not only affecting younger generations more severely but are also impacting older generations as they approach middle age. Lead author Dr Richard Morris emphasizes that the focus should not solely be on the mental health of school-aged children and adolescents, as this study demonstrates a changing pattern where mental health continues to decline even as individuals transition into adulthood.

The research, which began in an attempt to understand the decline in mental health among Australians since 2010, tracked the mental health changes of over 27,500 individuals from 2001 to 2020 across different age groups. The findings highlight that the youngest generations are experiencing the most significant mental health issues, and unlike previous generations, those born in the 1990s are not experiencing an improvement in mental well-being as they age. This decline in mental health is a concerning trend observed in developed nations for several years.
