HEALTH

ðŸ‘‰As the saying goes, health is the root of all happiness. Health is the most valuable asset of a human being. A person's happiness depends on their health. Money, success, fame, honor, influence and prestige are all meaningless to a man of broken health.

People who are addicted to social media are narcissists, study finds

Nowadays, Narcissus' pool resembles more of a screen of a smart device, according to recent observations. A study conducted by Romanian researchers has found that individuals with high levels of narcissistic traits are more prone to being addicted to their mobile phones. This addiction, also known as "nomophobia" or "no mobile phone phobia," is characterized by the fear of being disconnected from mobile phone connectivity, as described by the Journal of Family Medicine and Primary Care. The study evaluated 559 individuals aged between 18 and 45, who were asked to complete an online survey that included tests assessing narcissism, stress, symptoms of social media addiction, and nomophobia.

The researchers discovered that narcissists have a desire to feel important through admiration from others, which can be easily fulfilled through likes and comments on social media. However, it is important to note that there is a difference between narcissistic personality disorder and narcissism. The study's findings, published in the Journal of Psychology, highlighted the influence of nomophobia, narcissism, stress, and social media addiction on an individual's behavior.
