Protein bars have been recalled due to the discovery of hairnet and shrink wrap in the products.

 Doctors Scientific Organica has issued a recall for certain protein bars that were distributed across the United States. The recall was initiated due to the potential presence of foreign materials, such as disposable hairnets, shrink wrap, and parchment paper, in the products. The affected protein bars are the Burn Boot Camp Afterburn Grass-Fed Whey Protein Bars Triple Chocolate Almond flavor, which were manufactured by Doctors Scientific and sold at Burn Boot Camp retail locations nationwide. The Food and Drug Administration has posted a notice regarding this recall. The company has stated that the foreign objects found in the bars, if ingested, may cause minor injuries such as temporary choking or gastrointestinal system injury. As of now, no illnesses or injuries have been reported. The recall was initiated after Burn Boot Camp received consumer complaints. The recalled protein bars, weighing 60 grams each, can be identified by one of the following three lot numbers printed on the back of the foil for each bar and on the bottom of each cardboard case: 181, 184, 187. Consumers who have purchased these protein bars are advised not to consume them. Instead, they should return them to the place of purchase or dispose of them.
